Bad Dell Customer Service - Again!

Last night, when my wireless Dell mouse wouldn't work and just kept blinking a white light, I called for Technical Support (my tech warranty doesn't expire until next year). When I finally reached Mahnan (in India), he refused to answer my question (what does the blinking light mean?) because he said that my mouse was purchased on a separate order (within days). He said that I would have to wait until the next day to contact "Customer Care" (but obviously they don't). I later found the issue on my own (a hidden button needed to be pushed twice). After a total of 22 minutes on the phone, why couldn't the Dell "Technician" simply tell me the answer instead of arguing with me? No excuse!

The product is good. The reason for the rating is the evil disgusting sales and operator departments. They gatekeep people away from tech support and make up lies about why they can't(won't) let you talk to tech support. I remember years ago (around the time of my last purchase) they had chat for tech support and they did away with that. One of the lies they told me when I called is "tech support is closed." Tech Support is 24/7 ,everyone knows that. Also only give your service tags to the tech support department, giving them to any other department is dangerous. India tech support is very well known for their tech support scams, you are taking a big risk if you give them to any other department. Google it. They have also massively jacked the prices up of their products. Easy usability or not they are almost too expensive to buy anymore. My new computer and my last computer are dells but if this is how they treat their customers and you can't even reach tech support because of the gatekeeping then I have to rethink my next purchase most likely will not be a dell.

The product is good. I am satisfied with it. The reason for the rating is the evil disgusting sales and operator departments. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I ordered the Dell product over a month ago. It was sent back by FedEx to Dell. I had to call Dell, they didn't contact me. They said it was damaged in shipment, confirmed my address and said would put a ticket in to send again. Wouldn't overnight. Ok... 2nd package gets returned 10/26, today is 11/3, I can't get a person on the phone for anything so I call FedEx who very kindly told me it was sent back to Dell because it only had street/city/state.zip, no house number! This is after I verified my address. FedEx also gave me the tracking number of the returned package, time date delivered and said it was signed for. So I attempt to call Dell again and found if you say for sales you can get a person on the line who then transfers you. Called 3 times, 2 of the times either while on hold or actively speaking with someone an automated survey interrupts then hangs up on me. the 3rd time the woman's voice was very quiet and muffled I said if you can hear me please transfer me, she hung up. I have spent hours on this and just want my money back. It seems the call center is in another country, and you lose a lot of connection with the person as I am sure they are not familiar with foreign addresses and the formats and they don't even try to call us back. I guess I will have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. What a giant waste of time and what a hassle. Oh and when I called earlier this week they had the package but said they would call FedEx and call me back within 24 hours, I said, just want to cancel and get my money and she convinced me to let her call back. Never did, guess i am not surprised. I am sorry, but not all calls can be handled by a robot and their humans are not much better. I will never order anything from Dell ever again.

Had issue with order being delivered improperly by their shipper. Package was not found and is most likely stolen. They keep bouncing me around between dell and fedex. Fedex asks me reach out to dell to make a claim. Dell asks me to claim with Fedex. Called 5 times and also sent 2 emails to different people. One customer rep was completely unprofessional and started arguing as if we are in brawl. They need to give better training to their cs reps. Adding to all this, Dell cheaps out on packaging by always ships orders in their original manufacturer boxes that clearly show the contents of the package. They also don't add any signature requirement. My previous orders were luckily not stolen even though the delivery drivers carelessly left them out in the open accessible to everyone. I have been a long time dell customer having purchased 3 laptops, 3 monitors and other accessories over the years. Unfortunately this is where we part ways. I am out a significant chunk of money due to negligence and apathy of two big corporations. for anyone still willing to buy from dell for whatever reasons, do not make the mistake of paying with methods such as gift cards, debit cards, dell financing etc. Make sure to use a credit card that offers buyer protection to at least have some hope of recovering your money. All the more just go to costco or amazon where they are more customer friendly.

When considering a computer/laptop purchase, look at the many review sites, BBB, Google Reviews, Trust Pilot and consider what the previous customers of Dell have written. Dell has incredible awful reviews with specific warnings and there is a definite reason why. Dell is currently selling computers that are so overloaded with background processes, that before any programs are opened, the computers are already consuming 35% of the available memory. Simple Excel files overload the computers to the point of 100% capacity. The fact that the products Dell are selling flat out do not work is just the tip of the ice burg. Prior to realizing the inadequacies of their products, I placed a $1,900 order on Sep 8 and I come from a 38 year background of using computers and technology. The ordering process, the setup process, the failed struggle to make the computer work process, the return process and the refund process, involving +25 customer service reps that not only did not speak enough English to be understood, was drowned in misinformation, inaccuracies, false information and downright lies. My entire purchase was properly packaged and returned within the allowable return timeline, 3 weeks ago and Dell has to this day not refunded me the money. I have been promised a refund in writing, (please see attachment 1, received (4) days ago) I have been assured of a refund verbally. I have contacted Executive Management of Dell, I have begged, pleaded, and cried. Nothing. I have even reached out to the owner of Dell. No response. Per Dell's escalation department, and after customer service reps have confirmed in writing that my returned purchase was received, (See attachment #2, received after the first promise of a refund within 2 business days) Dell needs more time to ensure my returned package was received. Attachment #3, yet more excuses as to why I have not received my refund. More than 3 full days have no passed since that communication. More than 16 days after I returned the dysfunctional computer, Dell has still not refunded me my money. I will never in my life purchase another Dell product. Never!

Within 2 or 3 months of buying XPS 9315 .The screen issues started happening I called the team , first to get rid of the issue we went back and forth for 1week. In this one week I went back and forth with multiple technical support team and also telling them if they could send me a new product or help me with a refund cause this back and forth wasn't feasible for me. Neither my problem was getting solved. Then they said it's a hardware problem I had to resend the laptop to their Texas location and after clearly mentioning that I had to travel and updated them with the location address and also confirming with them personally about the address after tracking that my computers repair progress was complete and multiple attempts of letting them know the new address . They sent it to the wrong address!!. I talked to the manager to the technical support I wanted to complain about the communication error within them and FedEx express. I am very pissed as a consumer to have to go through this and wait more days due to their mistakes
